Do you know about motorcycle rallies?

Motorcycle rallies are a fundamental element of American motorcycle culture. At rallies, hundreds or even thousands of motorcyclists from all over the country gather to ride, make new friends, and show off their motorcycles.

Motorcycle rallies are held all over the United States throughout the spring, summer, and fall. The Sturgis Rally in South Dakota and the Daytona Beach Rally in Florida are two of the most famous, but there are dozens of smaller rallies held almost everywhere else. At these rallies, you’ll find a wide variety of motorcyclists from all walks of life, all seeking the experience of a lifetime.

Any subculture needs unique fashion, and the motorcycle community has developed its own style vocabulary. The style as we know it today began with New Yorker Irving Schott, who created the first leather motorcycle jacket, the Schott Perfecto, in 1928. This sleek black leather garment quickly became a wardrobe staple for riders and non-riders alike.

Today, motorcycle fashion is as diverse as any other hobby. Some riders prefer high-tech synthetic gear designed for sport riding (and often paired with high-tech gadgets, like Bluetooth motorcycle helmet speakers). Others prefer the classic look of leather jackets, cropped vests, and patches. What all true motorcycle gear has in common is that they are designed for outdoor performance and rider safety.
