Last time we introduced Bluetooth 5.0 and previous versions. In fact, more of our motorcycle helmet headset products have adopted Bluetooth 5.2 chips. What are the performance improvements of Bluetooth 5.2?
The main differences between Bluetooth 5.2 and 5.0 include data transmission capacity and speed, transmission distance, broadcast data packets and power consumption.
First, in terms of data transmission capacity and speed, Bluetooth 5.2 has greatly improved data transmission capacity and speed. The speed of Bluetooth 5.2 is 2 times higher than that of 5.0, and the transmission capacity has reached 800%, which is larger than the capacity of Bluetooth 5.0. 12
Secondly, in terms of transmission distance, Bluetooth 5.2 has a longer transmission distance, and the transmission speed has been increased from the original 1Mbps to 2Mbps. The theoretical transmission distance can reach 300 meters, even in low power mode.
Third, in terms of broadcast data packets, Bluetooth 5.2 can broadcast 255Byte data packets, while 5.0 does not support the broadcast of this data packet, and can only broadcast the original data packet of 31Byte. This helps reduce interference in the 2.4GHz band and improves transmission efficiency.
Finally, in terms of power consumption, Bluetooth 5.2 is stronger than 5.0 in transmission speed and capacity, with a significant improvement in performance, lower power consumption and longer usage time.
In addition, Bluetooth 5.2 also introduces some new features such as Enhanced Attribute Protocol (EATT) and Isochronous Channel (ISOC), which provide faster pairing capabilities and longer battery life.
